WIDE
AWAKE
IN A
DREAM

- Poem

I am wide awake in a dream,

Is this really as it seems?

Dying a premature death,

And mourning the time I took my last breath.

The fear of your rebirth,

Not knowing what’s to come for what it’s worth.

Falling to the depths one should never see,

Was a place I had to be.

In order to emerge from my new hatching shell,

Weak, confused and vulnerable as hell.

Not knowing what lay ahead for me,

Just knowing that I was still here for my children to see.

I put my life and faith in The Almighty Lord,

Knowing that he would direct me on the new path I must forge.

Removing all negative elements from my life,

Clearing the way for a new flight.

Loneliness is the hardest to bear,

But I know that The Almighty will provide me with someone who will care.

I know in my heart of hearts that everything happens for a reason and know that this is my season.

Yes its true life can be mean, but yet I’m still

WIDE AWAKE IN A DREAM.

- Poem

Wow! What a journey,
Worse than any rollercoaster ride.
I was tried and tested and at times thought I had died.
Coming to terms with the physical struggle is a never-ending battle.
Although psychologically, I found a way to get through the horror and resettle.
My family and friends carried me through at times without knowing,
And The Almighty Father and my spirituality were present and always forgoing.
When you have faced a life-threatening situation you somehow internally feel heroic,
This experience of mourning my own death has left me with a sense of calmness and I now feel stoic.
The dream has dissipated and I am here allowed to continue with my motherly duties,
The negative forces that were against me whether fate or humanistic never had a chance of succeeding with their cruelties.
The new Roseline Daisy has a long life to live,
And as she goes forward she has still got plenteous love to give.
